About Us

From 1920 through Today

We serve the customer above all and are not bogged down by corporate interests.  Like past and present mutual banks, we aim to uplift individuals and communities by enabling opportunities to participate in savings and other financial instruments.

Welcome to Kentland Federal Savings & loan!

Core Values

Our Board has established core values forming the philosophical foundation for the organization. The following values provide guidance and direction for everything we do.

Be Involved               Be Ethical               Be Open               Be Honest

Be Friendly            Be Fair            Be True to Your Word

These seven values represent our role as trusted stewards of customers’ resources and guides in their personal financial journey.

Primary Mission

Promoting community development by providing activities purposefully directed towards improving the social or economic conditions of underserved people or residents of economically distressed communities.

Vision

To enhance our tradition and strong rooted foundation of the financial services infrastructure for the economically disadvantaged and historically underserved segments.  We aim to enable access, opportunity, and financial health in rural markets in Northwest Indiana and beyond.  The purpose of the Bank will be to offer financial services to both the targeted rural and LMI markets, for the individuals and small businesses in the surrounding communities.  The Bank will expand our financial literacy program to continually meet the needs of our community; including financial literacy courses, knowledge of different deposit accounts, business planning, and understanding and enhancement strategies for credit scores.
